Commodore's Corner
September 2010
Can you believe the summer is almost over. What a year this has been. I believe this summer has
been the best boating season we have had in over four years
Some general updates…… As all of you are aware, we have had on going issues with our old and worn out gas pump,
despite the several band-aids Volta Oil placed on the pump. After much discussion and meetings,
the Board of Directors voted the approval to purchase a refurbished gas pump. I am happy to
report Dock master P.C. Mike Sample negotiated the deal and the new pump was installed this
week. Gas is up and running again. Thanks P.C. Mike.
Once again thanks to Siobhan Gray for a magical evening on our moonlight cruise last Saturday
night along with the fabulous weather we were able to enjoy the company of fellow club
members and their family. A special thank you to DJ R.C. John Murrin
Congratulations to Andrew Kelleher. He has accepted the position of Chief Steward.
Upcoming Events: Family Day, Sunday August 22, 2010 Please join us and bring the whole family for the fun,
food and games.
